OUR SERVICES
A little care. A whole new garden
We aim to support vulnerable individuals and families, people with disabilities, and those who may be struggling to maintain their gardens.
Our focus is on gardens that genuinely need attention - spaces that have become unsafe, overgrown, neglected or difficult to manage. Through our volunteers, we hope to help people reclaim their outdoor spaces and make them more welcoming to both people and wildlife.
Wildlife is at the heart of Wild Haven. Through volunteering at community gardens and creating wildlife-friendly spaces, we want to teach people how to care for nature and encourage them to recreate these habitats at home.
By bringing people, gardens and wildlife together, we hope to create positive spaces for everyone.

Garden Clearances and Tidying
Has your garden become difficult to enjoy? We can help tackle general garden clutter to make your outdoor space feel more manageable

Overgrown Garden Trimming
Helping bring overgrown gardens back under control through trimming, cutting back unruly growth and restoring a tidier
outdoor space

Accessible & Practical Garden Improvements
We can explore practical improvements that help make outdoor spaces easier to navigate, use and enjoy. This might include tidying pathways, improving the layout or considering suitable seating and planting arrangements

Wildlife-Friendly Gardens
Where suitable, we can incorporate wildlife-friendly planting and features that provide food, shelter and opportunities for pollinators and other garden visitors. Our aim is to help create greener outdoor spaces that can be enjoyed by people while making room for nature

Planting, Flower Beds & Shrubs
Bring colour, texture and new life into your garden with thoughtful planting. From refreshing existing flower beds to introducing suitable flowers, shrubs and greenery, we'll explore ways to make the most of your outdoor space and create a garden that feels welcoming.
GARDEN RENOVATION PROJECTS
When a garden becomes unmanagable, it can feel overwhelming to know where to begin
Wild Haven aims to help bring these spaces back under control by trimming unruly shrubs, cutting back excessive growth, and tidying manageable areas
Our goal is to make gardens feel more safe, welcoming, and easier to maintain - while respecting the wildlife that may already call them home.

WHO WE AIM TO SUPPORT
Gardens that need attention
Wild Haven is not primarily about designing empty spaces or carrying out luxury garden makeovers. We want to help people who are struggling with gardens that have become overgrown, neglected, or difficult to maintain
Each enquiry would be considered individually, taking into account the garden's condition, the person's circumstances, the work required, and the resources available
Better gardens for both people and wildlife
A garden can offer more than a tidy outdoor space. It can provide somewhere to relax, spend time with family, enjoy nature, and feel connected to the outdoors.
Where appropriate, we aim to include wildlife-friendly ideas such as suitable native planting, pollinator-friendly flowers, and small habitat features.
We want to help people enjoy their gardens while making room for the wildlife that depends on them

Vulnerable Individuals
People facing difficult circumstances who may need additional support to maintain or enjoy their garden

People with disabilities
Individuals whose disabilities or mobility challenges make garden maintenance difficult or prevent them from enjoying their outdoor space

Individuals and families on low incomes
People who may not have the financial resources to tackle an overgrown or deteriorating garden themselves

Families with disabled children
Families who may benefit from having a more manageable, welcoming outdoor space that better suits their child's needs and their family's circumstances
Our Mission
To help vulnerable individuals and families reclaim and enjoy gardens that need attention, while creating greener, more wildlife-friendly spaces through the dedication of our volunteers.
Could Wild Haven help with your garden?
We welcome enquiries from people who are finding it difficult to maintain or enjoy a garden that needs attention
When considering a project, we'll look at:
-
The condition of the garden and the work it needs
-
The circumstances and support needs of the person or family
-
How the garden is currently affecting their ability to enjoy their outdoor space
-
What improvements may be achievable with our available volunteers, materials and resources
Every enquiry will be considered individually. While we'd love to help everyone, our ability to take on projects will depend on our available resources and the work required.
